How do I request a book from another Abilene library? How long will it take? You can either request a book at the circulation desk or request the book yourself in ALCON Library Catalog. Find the book you want to put on hold and click on Full Details. Click on the Hold icon on the right. You should be prompted to log into your my.acu account if you are not already logged into it. Depending on the time of day you request a book, it usually takes between 24-48 hours to get to your library, which does not include weekends.
